Winter Work and Compliments

We have been hard at work in kindergarten this week.  Yesterday we made Name Snowmen and painted the backgrounds for our winter scene.  Most importantly, we learned about giving and getting compliments.  We are focusing on saying something nice about a person's mind and heart (things they are good at, things that make them an amazing person, etc.), though physical compliments aren't discouraged (they ALL seem to love each others shoes!).  I am trying to steer them towards physical compliments like, "I love your smile." or, "You have kind eyes."  They have picked up compliments very easily and I'm not surprised.  These little ones have the sweetest, kindest hearts.  They are truly a special group.
